| is a PhD student and member of the research staff at the Distributed Systems and Operating Systems group, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. Before joining Friedrich-Alexander University he worked as a software developer, consultant and IT trainer for several years. His PhD topic is on the design and development of aspect-oriented operating system product-lines. His current research activities are focused on the combination of Generic and Generative Programming with AOP in AspectC++, and on applying these techniques in the implementation of CiAO, an AUTOSAR conformant research operating system product line for automotive applications. Daniel co-organized the MMB 2006 workshop on Non-Functional Properties of Embedded Systems. |

| Chris Matthews is a PhD student at the University of Victoria. His research interests include systems structure, virtualization, compilers and concurrency. In the past, he worked on a framework for building objects that scale on multiprocessors, and on a language and compiler for using aspect oriented concepts in the C programming language. His current research involves tackling the communication and programming problems introduced by system virtualization when it is used as an isolation mechanism. |
